Alayna Nicole Robinson, 11, departed this earthly life too soon on July 14, 2005, near her home in Cortland, New York. Alayna was born May 25, 1994, in Syracuse, NY. Three years ago she moved to Cortland with her family. She loved school and was very involved as an Honors student at Barry Elementary, recently completing the fifth grade. She participated in band, chorus, basketball, Girl Scouts, and cheerleading. She recently won the TEAM Award for Tolerance. Alayna's interests included reading, swimming, horses, and activities at both the Cortland Youth Bureau and her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a loving and caring big sister, as well as a dear daughter. Alayna had friends everywhere and she will be sorely missed by many, but most of all by her family; to them she was an angel and a princess, and forever will be.
Spunky, kind, friendly, cheerful
Sibling to Colin and Erin Lassey
Cares deeply about my family, friends, pets and school
Who feels scared of new places, happy when I know I am safe
thrilled to read and sad about people dying
Who needs time to clean my room, to focus on my work
and to help more around the house
Who gives hugs to family advice to people
and food to people in need
Who fears snakes, spiders and my nana's dog
Who would like to see my step brothers everyday, see Shrek2
and get good grades
Lives in Village Terrace, Cortland, NY.
